We are always happy to hear about the animals that have been adopted from us. We received the below letter and picture, and we are ecstatic that Shakira and Cara are happy together.
"This might seem a little random, but i just wanted to s...ay thank you so much. I got my puppy from Booysens SPCA a few years ago.
I named her Shakira. I can't really tell you what breed she is, but when people ask me I just tell them she is a staffie X Lab. She had been abused and was terrified of people she didn't know (men in particular), and hated being left alone. With lots of training, patience and plenty of love, she has turned out to be the light of my life. Her confidence has grown, and she is now a very very happy dog. She is always happy to see me and always makes me smile.
She is by far the most loyal and loving dog I have ever had!
She will be turning 4 years old in July and I must say it has been the best 4 years of my life!
I would like to say thank you. You are doing a fantastic job, and I am so grateful that I found her at your kennels.
So from both of us, Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
