Johannesburg SPCA is currently involved in information transfer and community empowerment programmes related to Primary Animal Health Care in resource poor areas on an ongoing basis.
The objective is not only to ensure the physical wellbeing of the animals, but also to promote an awareness of the need for good husbandry. This includes an intensive outreach sterilisation project.
Animals from various areas are vaccinated, dewormed, dipped and collected for sterilization.
The JSPCA mobile clinic is allowing us to increase the number of animals we are able to assist.
Leon Malherbe - Outreach Officer
Pat Zulu - Mobile Clinic Co-ordinator
Freddy Lukheli and Meshack Mahlase - Mobile Clinic Operators
